Why the "Discovery Session":

I absolutely love our discovery sessions! It's a chance for us to talk music and sing, and who doesn't love that? Here's what to expect!

During the "Discovery Lesson": 
-  Intake Interview:  The Intake interview will cover and vocal concerns, your musical goals (long term and short term), a brief medical review of items that may affect your voice, and give you some time to tell me what you would like us to accomplish together as a team.
-  Mini-voice lesson: I want to hear your beautiful instrument! We'll experiment with some vocal exercises, try one a few melodies and in general see how well we work together.  (Ooo, please prepare a song of your choice in any style. Preferably something you really enjoy singing!)
-  Review Options: Barrow Music Studio provides all sorts of options and individualized options. If you choose to be a weekly student, in addition to our one on one time, I also provide students with performance opportunities, competitions, scholarships, professional auditions, video consultations with individuals from my network of local and national actors, vocalists, diction coaches, medical professionals (ENT, SLP, etc.), agents, and other available professionals that are accessible to my students through my studio services. Depending on the chosen package, some of these opportunities are not part of the monthly tuition, but are available to students when their skills are such that the opportunities are beneficial.
-  General musicianship assessment: We will also review your current musicianship skills (breathe...it's going to be just fine!). Where needed, my students training includes ear training, music theory, and musicianship development.

After the "Discovery Lesson": 
I will review all your intake information, as well as the video/audio of our mini-lesson, and go to work preparing your personalized package options. 
This plan will reflect your goals and the work that will take place during our face to face "lesson time".
Additional opportunities and services will also be listed.  
Once I have this prepared, I will email your options to you. Once you decide how you would like to proceed, we can can schedule your slot! YAY!
