Children's Choirs in the Salt Lake Valley
American Heritage Choirs - "American Heritage School sponsors an after-school choir program whose purpose is to build musical excellence and enduring faith in the lives of individuals through uplifting and sacred choral music. Three choirs accommodate youth of varying ages and skill levels (ages 5-18). Although the choir is sponsored by American Heritage School, enrollment is open to all students, regardless of school affiliation. If you would like more information about the choirs, or to learn how to join, visit the Enrollment page." They feature three choirs: Elementary School, Middle School and High School Levels.
International Children's Choir - "The Choir was founded by Dr. Kathy Sorensen. Her doctoral research involved interviewing immigrants and refugees and asking them to sing their favorite songs. She believes music warms hearts and unites people, and that multicultural music allows us to share another person’s culture and thereby, a part of his or her soul. Singing a simple children’s song in a person’s native language lets that person know we care enough to go to the trouble of finding and learning their language and music. Auditions are by appointment." See website for details.
Madeline Choir School - "The Madeleine Choir School, a Roman Catholic School in the Cathedral tradition, inspires young people to become engaged scholars, effective communicators, dedicated liturgical musicians, and responsible world citizens who seek to build a civilization of justice, mercy and love. The Madeleine Choir School prides itself on providing a dynamic and well-rounded education for children—one that focuses on liberal arts, science, technology, and choral training." Admissions are for children in grades Pre K-8. See website for details.
One Voice Children's Choir - "2015 marked the Diamond Anniversary of One Voice Children’s Choir, which originated from a group of children who sang at the 2002 Winter Olympics. Their beloved Director, Masa Fukuda, made such an impact on them that they asked to continue to sing together. Through the efforts of supportive parents the choir continued and in the summer of 2005 the group was named One Voice Children’s Choir." For information on auditions please check the website.
Riverton Children's Choir - "The Riverton Children's Choir is a classically trained, community based choir and admittance is by audition only. The choir was formed in January 2000 when Christine Mickelsen, Patrece Johnson, and Heidi Christensen set out to create an outstanding cultural experience for the children in the Riverton area. The children sing music from the Baroque, Classical, and Romantic Eras, sometimes singing in Latin, German, French and Hebrew. The repertoire is balanced with spirituals and popular selections for variety." For audition information, see website.
Salt Lake Children's Choir - "The Salt Lake Children’s Choir was established to extend the community’s already rich cultural heritage into the realm of fine choral singing by children...Founded by Ralph B.
